  • With >30 years of food safety/research training and experience, Deb has previously worked in the food industry, for DEFRA, and at Campden BRI.

    She is a qualified Microbiologist and FSSC 22000 auditor, has authored numerous food safety/hygiene publications and presented her research internationally.

    At Vikan Deb is responsible for providing expert hygiene advice and support to the food industry.

    Maximising Global food safety standard compliance through appropriate selection and maintenance of cleaning tools

    Presentation Synopsis: Global food safety standards, BRCv7 and FSSC2000, now specifically require that cleaning equipment shall be ‘hygienically designed’; ‘maintained’ in a ‘manner to prevent contamination’; and ‘cleaned and/or sanitized to a defined schedule’. This presentation provides valuable information on what the requirements are and how they can be met through appropriate selection and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
