Presentation Title: How food companies can work with their supply chains to deliver against the sustainable development goals

Synopsis:  The United Nations has set out 17 Sustainable Development Goals that set the framework for sustainable development through to 2030.  In order for these goals to be achieved it is important that all areas of society play their part.  It is important businesses and their supply chains understand how their activities interact with the sustainable development goals and give consideration to how their actions can be used to drive improvements across relevant goals.  With the food industry having its roots in agriculture there are many opportunities for these companies to work with their supply chains to address many of the areas that are identified as Sustainable Development Goals.  This presentation will discuss some of the ways in which food companies can engage with their supply chains in order to drive improvements in areas relating to the sustainable development goals and how these can actions can be communicated to demonstrate a proactive approach towards sustainable procurement of agricultural raw materials.
